     David Bernard Montgomery, 2nd Viscount Montgomery of Alamein was born on 18 August 1928.1 He is the son of Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of Alamein and Elizabeth Hobart.1 He married, firstly, Mary Raymond Connell, daughter of Sir Charles Connell, on 27 February 1953.1 He and Mary Raymond Connell were divorced in 1967.1 He married, secondly, Tessa Browning, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Frederick Arthur Montague Browning and Daphne du Maurier, on 30 January 1970.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Tank Regiment.2 He was with Shell International between 1951 and 1962.2 He was director of Yardley International Ltd between 1963 and 1974.2 He was managing director of Terimar Services, overseas trade consultancy between 1974 and 2000.2 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1975.2 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, of Hindhead, co. Surrey [U.K., 1946] on 24 March 1976.1 He was director of Korn Ferry International between 1977 and 1993.2 He was chairman of Antofagasta (Chile) and Bolivia Railway Company between 1980 and 1982.2 He was director of NEI between 1981 and 1987.2 He co-authored the book The Lonely Leader: Monty 1944-45.2 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 2000.2

Rev. Henry Hutchinson Montgomery and Maud Farrar, on 27 July 1927.1 She died on 19 October 1937.1
      From before 1927, her married name became Carver.1 From 27 July 1927, her married name became Montgomery.1

     Rt. Rev. Henry Hutchinson Montgomery was born in 1847.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Montgomery and Ellen Jane Lambert.3 He married Maud Farrar, daughter of Very Rev. Frederick William Farrar and Lucy Mary Cardew, on 28 July 1881.3 He died in 1932.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.3 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3 He was Vicar between 1879 and 1889 at Kennington, Kent, England.3 He held the office of Bishop of Tasmania between 1889 and 1901.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1928.1 He lived at New Park, Moville, County Donegal, Ireland.1
