     Sir Arthur Roden Cutler, V.C. was born on 24 May 1916 at Manly, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.4 He was the son of William Arthur Cutler and Ruby Pope.2,3 He married Helen Gray Annetta Morris in 1946 at Woollahra, New South Wales, Australia.3 He died on 21 February 2002 at age 85 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.4 He was buried at South Head Cemetery, Vaucluse, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.4
     Sir Arthur Roden Cutler, V.C. fought in the Second World War.4 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 2nd/5th Field Artillery, Australian Military Forces.4 He was decorated with the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 28 November 1941, for his actions on 19 June to 6 July 1941.1,4 He held the office of Governor of New South Wales.2 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).1 He was invested as a Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.).5 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.).1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of Australia (A.K.).1
