Hon. Sir Francis Grenville Clarke1

     Hon. Sir Francis Grenville Clarke was born on 14 March 1879.1 He was the son of Sir William John Clarke, 1st Bt. and Janet Marian Snodgrass.2 He married Nina Ellis Cotton, daughter of Thomas Cotton, on 24 July 1901.1 He died on 13 February 1955 at age 75.1
     He was educated at Scotch College, Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaG.3 He held the office of President of the Legislative Council [Victoria] between 1923 and 1943.1 He was a director of Goldsborough Mortgage and Company.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)1 He was vice-chairman of the National Bank of Australasia.1

     Nina Ellis Cotton was the daughter of Thomas Cotton.2 She married Hon. Sir Francis Grenville Clarke, son of Sir William John Clarke, 1st Bt. and Janet Marian Snodgrass, on 24 July 1901.1 She died on 27 June 1948.1
     From 24 July 1901, her married name became Clarke.1

     William Antony Francis Clarke was born on 21 September 1908 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.1,3 He was the son of Hon. Sir Francis Grenville Clarke and Nina Ellis Cotton.4 He married Jessie Deakin Brookes, daughter of Herbert Brookes and Ivy Deakin, in 1939.1 He died on 22 October 1953 at age 45 at South Yarra, Victoria, Australia.1,3
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Australian Imperial Forces.1

     Francis Brookes Clarke was born in September 1940.1 He is the son of William Antony Francis Clarke and Jessie Deakin Brookes.2 He married, secondly, Vivica Ewa Louise Catharina Spens.1 He married, firstly, Jacqueline Crossley, daughter of Graham Crossley, in 1969.1 He and Jacqueline Crossley were divorced in 1976.1
