     Janet Marian Snodgrass was the daughter of Hon. Peter Snodgrass.2 She married Sir William John Clarke, 1st Bt., son of Hon. William John Turner Clarke and Elizabeth Dowling, on 21 January 1873.1 She died on 4 April 1909.1
     From 21 January 1873, her married name became Clarke.1

     Hon. William Lionel Russell Clarke was born on 31 March 1876.1 He was the son of Sir William John Clarke, 1st Bt. and Janet Marian Snodgrass.2 He married Florence Douglas Mackenzie, daughter of Colonel Henry Douglas Mackenzie and Julia Nina Sofala Suttor, on 23 September 1908.1 He died on 14 May 1954 at age 78.1
     He was educated at Scotch College, Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaG.3 He was educated at Melbourne Grammar School, Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaG.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Field Artillery.1 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Victoria] in 1915.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Victoria.1

     Colonel Henry Douglas Mackenzie was born on 26 September 1849.2 He is the son of Reverend Charles Mackenzie and Henrietta Simonds.2 He married Julia Nina Sofala Suttor, daughter of Hon. John Bligh Suttor, on 7 January 1873.2 He died on 24 October 1910 at age 61.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.1 He was Colonel of the Tasmanian Commonwealth Military Forces.2

     John Russell Clarke was born on 15 December 1909.1 He was the son of Hon. William Lionel Russell Clarke and Florence Douglas Mackenzie.2 He married Alison Mary Milne, daughter of Clive Milne, on 12 April 1934.1 He and Alison Mary Milne were divorced in 1940.1 He died in 1963.1
     He fought in the Second World War, with the Australian Imperial Forces.1
