     Sir Edward Gilbert Clayton was born on 16 July 1841.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Henry Clayton and Jean Henrietta Blair.2 He married Georgina Elizabeth Sykes Clayton, daughter of Sykes Clayton, on 4 November 1864.1 He died on 5 March 1917 at age 75.1
     Sir Edward Gilbert Clayton gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Engineers.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He was Inspector of Prisons.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.1 He was Secretary to the Prison Commissioners between 1895 and 1908.1

     Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Gilbert Clayton was born on 24 August 1867.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Gilbert Clayton and Georgina Elizabeth Sykes Clayton.2 He married Huberta Grenfell, daughter of Captain Hubert H. Grenfell, on 7 January 1900.1 He died on 9 February 1948 at age 80.1
     Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Gilbert Clayton fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1

     Henry Hubert Clayton graduated from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Candian Artillery.1 He was Head of Theoretical Physics, British Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd at Chalk River, Ontario, Canada.1
