     Sir Neal O'Donel, 1st Bt. is the son of Hugh Mór O'Donel and Maud Brown.1,2 He married Mary Coane, daughter of William Coane, in 1766.3 He died in 1811.1
      Acquiring heirloom relic the Cathach.3 Turned Protestant.3 He was merchant, bought land in County Mayo.3 Self-styled ‘The O Donnell.3' He was created 1st Baronet O'Donnell [Ireland] on 2 December 1780.4
