     Sir Robert Jocelyn, 1st Bt. was born on 14 January 1622.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Jocelyn and Bridget Smith.1 He married Jane Strange, daughter of Robert Strange, in 1650.1 He died circa June 1712.1 He was buried on 12 June 1712.1
     Sir Robert Jocelyn, 1st Bt. held the office of Sheriff of Hertfordshire.1 He gained the title of 1st Baronet Jocelyn, of Hyde Hall.1
