     Sir James Clavering, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 8 April 1668 at Ryton, EnglandG.1 He was the son of John Clavering and Dorothy Savile.1 He married Elizabeth Middleton, daughter of Sir William Middleton, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Mundy.1 He died circa July 1707, without surviving male issue.1 He was buried on 8 July 1707 at Whickham, County Durham, EnglandG.1
     He matriculated at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 17 June 1687.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Clavering, of Axwell, co. Durham [E., 1661] circa March 1701/2.1

     Sir William Middleton, 1st Bt. was the son of Ralph Middleton and Isabel Fenwick.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Mundy, daughter of John Mundy.1 He married, firstly, Mary Wentworth, daughter of Sir Thomas Wentworth.3 He died circa March 1690.3 He was buried on 22 March 1690.3
     He was created 1st Baronet Middleton, of Belsay Castle, co. Northumberland [England] on 24 October 1662.3 He held the office of Sheriff of Northumberland in 1666.3
