     John Cunliffe Cunliffe-Lister, 3rd Baron Masham of Swinton was born on 9 August 1867.1 He was the son of Samuel Cunliffe-Lister, 1st Baron Masham of Swinton and Anne Dearden.1 He married Elizabeth Alice Brockton, daughter of W. R. Brockton, on 7 April 1906.1 He died on 4 January 1924 at age 56, without issue.1
     John Cunliffe Cunliffe-Lister, 3rd Baron Masham of Swinton succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Masham of Swinton, co. York [U.K., 1891] on 24 January 1917.1

     Sir John Middleton, 2nd Bt. was born in 1678.1 He was the son of Sir William Middleton, 1st Bt. and Mary Wentworth.2 He married Frances Lambert, daughter of John Lambert.1 He died in 1717.1
     Sir John Middleton, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Middleton, of Belsay Castle, co. Northumberland [E., 1662] circa March 1690.1
