     John Cunliffe Cunliffe-Lister, 3rd Baron Masham of Swinton was born on 9 August 1867.1 He was the son of Samuel Cunliffe-Lister, 1st Baron Masham of Swinton and Anne Dearden.1 He married Elizabeth Alice Brockton, daughter of William Rippon Brockton, on 7 April 1906.1 He died on 4 January 1924 at age 56, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Masham of Swinton, co. York [U.K., 1891] on 24 January 1917.1

     Sir John Middleton, 2nd Bt. was born in 1678 at Belsay Castle, Northumberland, England.1,2 He was the son of Sir William Middleton, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Mundy.3 He married Frances Lambert, daughter of John Lambert and Barbara Lister, on 15 June 1699 at Kirkby Malham, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He died in 1717 at Northumberland, England.1,2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Middleton, of Belsay Castle, co. Northumberland [E., 1662] circa March 1690.1
