     Captain Montagu Burrows was born on 27 October 1819 at Hadley, London, England.2 He was the son of General Montagu Burrows and Mary Anne Larcom.2 He married Mary Anna Whalley-Smythe-Gardiner, daughter of Sir James Whalley-Smythe-Gardiner, 3rd Bt., on 13 September 1849.2 He died on 10 July 1905 at age 85 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.2 He was educated at Magdalen Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He wrote the book Pass and Class, published 1860.2 He wrote the book The Worthies of All Souls, published 1874.2 He wrote the book The History of the Brocas Family of Beaurepaire and Roche Court, published 1886.2 He wrote the book The Cinque Ports, published 1888.2 He lived at Norham House, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1
