     Captain John Caddell was born in 1620.1 He died circa 1670.1
     Captain John Caddell gained the rank of Captain in 1651 in the service of the Scottish Army.1 In 1651 he was captured at the sacking of Dundee by Cromwell's forces under Monck, and spent several years as a prisoner of war.1 He was shipped to Barbados as an indentured servant in 1658.1
