Vice-Admiral Sir Peveril Barton Reibey William-Powlett was born on 5 March 1898 at Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales.2 He was the son of Major Barton Newton Wallop William-Powlett and Emily Charlotte Reibey.3 He married, firstly, Helen Constance Forbes-Crombie, daughter of James Forbes Crombie and Charlotte Evans Dixon, in 1923 at Chelsea, London, England.2 He married, secondly, Barbara Patience Greenwell, daughter of Sir Bernard Eyre Greenwell, 2nd Bt. and Anna Elizabeth McClintock, on 22 January 1966.3 He died on 10 November 1985 at age 87 at Ottey St. Mary, Devon, England.2
