     Ellen Merrett was born circa 1725.2 She was the daughter of Solomon Merrett and Rebecca Savage.1 She married Henry Conyngham, 1st and last Earl Conynham of Mount Charles, son of Maj.-Gen. Henry Conyngham and Mary Williams, in December 1744.1 She died on 15 June 1816 at Lower Grosvenor Street, London, England.2 She was buried at Hughenden, Buckinghamshire, England.2 Her will was probated in July 1816.2
     From December 1744, her married name became Conyngham.1 As a result of her marriage, Ellen Merrett was styled as Baroness Conyngham of Mount Charles on 3 October 1753. As a result of her marriage, Ellen Merrett was styled as Viscountess Conyngham on 20 July 1756. As a result of her marriage, Ellen Merrett was styled as Countess Conyngham of Mount Charles on 4 January 1781.

     John Cleypole was baptised on 13 April 1595 at Maxey, England.1 He married Mary Angell, daughter of William Angell, in 1622.1
     John Cleypole was admitted to Gray's Inn on 7 May 1619.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northamptonshire from 1654 to 1655.1
