     Commander Denys Royds Brocklebank was born on 12 September 1898 at Poulton Boyd, Bebington, Cheshire, England.2 He was the son of Ralph Eric Royds Brocklebank and Constance Alington Royds.3,2 He was baptised on 18 October 1898 at Heswall, Cheshire, England.2 He married Kathleen Lindsay, daughter of Colonel Walter Charles Lindsay and Lady Kathleen Butler, on 10 September 1924.3 He died on 22 February 1947 at age 48.3
     He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He lived at Longbridge House, Warminster, Wiltshire, England.1

     Lt.-Col. James Howard Lindsay was born on 29 April 1871.1 He was the son of William Alexander Lindsay and Lady Harriet Gordon.1 He married Joanna Lucy Gordon-Duff, daughter of Thomas Duff Gordon-Duff, 9th of Drummuir and Pauline Emma Tennant, on 15 August 1906.1 He died on 22 April 1940 at age 68.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was a practising barrister.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 14th Battalion (London Scottish), County of London Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1917, where he was wounded and mentioned in despatches.1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1
