     Major Harry Lachlan Lindsay was born on 25 October 1912.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Howard Lindsay and Joanna Lucy Gordon-Duff.1 He died in September 1944 at age 31 at Italy, killed in action.1

     John Stewart Lindsay-MacDougall was born on 28 February 1911.1 He was the son of T/Major Francis Howard Lindsay and Helen Margaret MacDougall.1 He married Sheila Marion Roma Sprot, daughter of Captain James William Lennox Sprot, on 4 September 1934.1 He died on 5 August 1943 at age 32 at Italy, while in enemy hands, from wounds received in action.1
     John Stewart Lindsay-MacDougall was baptised with the name of John Stewart Lindsay.1 On April 1932 his name was legally changed to John Stewart Lindsay-MacDougall.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1939 in the service of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1
