     Julian Valerian Wellesley was born on 9 August 1933.1 He was the son of Gerald Valerian Wellesley and Elizabeth Thornton Ball.1 He married Elizabeth Joan Stocken, daughter of Cyril Alfred Stocken, on 26 August 1965.1 He died on 13 September 1996 at age 63.1
     Julian Valerian Wellesley was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1951 in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He retired from the military in 1961.1 He was chairman of Charles Barker Group between 1978 and 1983.1
