     John Cuffe, 1st Baron Desart was the son of Agmondesham Cuffe and Anne Otway.1 He married, secondly, Dorothea Gorges, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Richard Gorges.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton.1 He died in 1749.1
     John Cuffe, 1st Baron Desart was created 1st Baron Desart, co. Kilkenny [Ireland] on 10 November 1733.1

     Joseph Cuffe is the son of Maurice Cuffe.1 He married Martha Muschamp, daughter of Colonel Agmondsesham Muschamp.1
     He had nineteen other children.1 He served under Cromwell, and received large grants of lands.1
