     Balthazar Stephen Sargant Foster, 2nd Baron Ilkeston was born on 31 August 1867.1 He was the son of Balthazar Walter Foster, 1st Baron Ilkeston and Emily Martha Sargant.1 He married Mildred Charlotte Cobb, daughter of Henry Peyton Cobb, on 20 December 1901.1 He died on 4 January 1952 at age 84.1
     He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1892 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He was Stipendiary Magistrate of Birmingham in 1910.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Ilkeston, of Ilkeston, co. Derby [U.K., 1910] on 31 January 1913.1 On his death, his title became extinct.1

     Mildred Charlotte Cobb is the daughter of Henry Peyton Cobb.1 She married Balthazar Stephen Sargant Foster, 2nd Baron Ilkeston, son of Balthazar Walter Foster, 1st Baron Ilkeston and Emily Martha Sargant, on 20 December 1901.1
     From 20 December 1901, her married name became Foster.1 After her marriage, Mildred Charlotte Cobb was styled as Baroness Ilkeston on 31 January 1913.
