     Admiral Hon. George Disney Keane was born on 26 September 1817.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Keane, 1st Baron Keane and Grace Smith.1 He married Katharine Mary McLeod, daughter of Major Alexander McLeod, on 31 July 1881.1 He died on 19 October 1891 at age 74, without issue.1
     Admiral Hon. George Disney Keane was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.1
