James Watt was born on 19 January 1736 at Greenock, Scotland.2 He was the son of James Watt and Agnes Muirhead.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Miller in 1763.2 He married, secondly, Ann Macgregor in 1775.2 He died on 25 August 1819 at age 83 at Heathfield, Sussex, England.2 He was buried at St. Mary's Church, Handsworth, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.2
