     Mary Matthews was the daughter of Henry Matthews and Emma Blount.1 She married Julien François Bertrand de la Chere on 24 September 1842.1 She died on 15 August 1890.1
     From 24 September 1842, her married name became de la Chere.1

     Henri de la Chere was the son of Julien François Bertrand de la Chere and Mary Matthews.1 He died in 1886, without issue.1
     Henri de la Chere was decorated with the Chevalier, Legion d'Honneur.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the 13th Dragoons.1
