     Agnes Gertrude van Koughnet is the daughter of Salter Jehosaphat van Koughnet.1 She married Sir Hugh John Macdonald, son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Alexander Macdonald and Isabella Clark, on 23 April 1883.1
     From 23 April 1883, her married name became Macdonald.1

     Anthony Patrick MacDonnell, 1st and last Baron MacDonnell was born on 7 March 1844.1 He was the son of Mark Garvey MacDonnell.1 He married Henrietta MacDonell, daughter of Ewen MacDonell, in November 1878.1 He died on 9 June 1925 at age 81.1
     He graduated from Queen's College, Galway, County Galway, IrelandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was with the Bengal Civil Service in 1865.1 He was Secretary to the Government of Bengal in 1884.1 He was Secretary to the Government of India, Home Department in 1887.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1888.1 He held the office of Chief Commissioner of Burma in 1889.1 He held the office of Chief Commissioner of the Central Provinces between 1890 and 1893.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1893.1 He was Acting Governor of Bengal in 1893.1 He was Member of the Governor-General's Council between 1893 and 1895.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of the Oudh between 1895 and 1901.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of the North-West Provinces between 1895 and 1901.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.) in 1897.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) by Queen's College, Galway, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1902.1 He was Under-Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1902 and 1908.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)
