     Anne Hodges was the daughter of Sir Nathaniel Hodges.2 She married, firstly, Warner Perkins before 1737.1 She married, secondly, Sir John Lambert Middleton, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Middleton, 2nd Bt. and Frances Lambert, in 1737.1 She died in 1762.1
     From before 1737, her married name became Perkins.1 From 1737, her married name became Middleton.

     Sir William Middleton, 5th Bt. was born on 6 June 1738.1 He is the son of Sir John Lambert Middleton, 4th Bt. and Anne Hodges.2 He married Jane Monck, daughter of Lawrence Monck, on 20 April 1774.1 He died on 7 July 1795 at age 57.1
     Sir William Middleton, 5th Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Horse Guards.3 He fought in the Battle of Minden on 1 August 1759, where he was severely wounded.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Middleton, of Belsay Castle, co. Northumberland [E., 1662] on 22 March 1768.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northumberland in 1774.3
