     Baldwin II, Comte de Hainaut was born circa 1056. He was the son of Baldwin VI de Mons, Comte de Flandre et Hainaut and Richilde de Hainaut.1 He married Ida de Louvain, daughter of Henri II, Comte de Louvain and Adele de Bettau, in 1084. He died in 1098, while on Crusade.
