Mary Cheke was the daughter of Peter Cheke and Agnes Duffield.1 She married William Cecil, 1st Baron of Burghley, son of Richard Cecil and Jane Heckington, on 8 August 1541.1 She died on 22 February 1542/43 at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 She was buried at St. Mary's Church, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1
