     Roger Godfrey Paul Plowden was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1972 and 1976 in the service of the Welsh Guards.1
