William Francis Plowden was born on 3 June 1853.1 He was the son of William Henry Francis Plowden and Barbara Cholmeley.2 He married Lady Mary Dundas, daughter of Hon. John Charles Dundas and Margaret Matilda Talbot, on 12 October 1874.1 He died on 8 July 1914 at age 61.1
