     Captain Jack Frederick Bligh was born on 19 January 1893.1 He was the son of Major Lodovick Edward Bligh and Marion Louisa Savile.1 He died on 1 July 1917 at age 24, killed in action.1
     Captain Jack Frederick Bligh fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Field Artillery.1 He gained the rank of Acting Major.1 He was decorated with the Military Cross (M.C.).1
