Sir William Sarsfield Rossiter Cockburn of that Ilk, 7th Bt. was born on 11 June 1796.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir William Cockburn of that Ilk, 6th Bt. and Eliza Anne Creutzer.2 He married Ann Coke, daughter of Reverend Francis Coke, on 15 October 1823.1
Sir William Sarsfield Rossiter Cockburn of that Ilk, 7th Bt. graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Cockburn [N.S., 1671] on 19 March 1835.1

Sir Edward Cludde Cockburn of that Ilk, 8th Bt. was born on 10 June 1834.1 He was the son of Sir William Sarsfield Rossiter Cockburn of that Ilk, 7th Bt. and Ann Coke.2 He married Mary Anne Frances Elliot, daughter of Robert Kerr Elliot, on 13 October 1859.1 He died on 24 December 1903 at age 69.1

Colonel George William Cockburn was born on 14 January 1838.1 He was the son of Sir William Sarsfield Rossiter Cockburn of that Ilk, 7th Bt. and Ann Coke.2 He married Emily Sarah Cleugh, daughter of Venerable John Cleugh, on 5 June 1861.1 He died on 17 March 1924 at age 86.1
