Ronald James Duke Coleridge and Ursula Mary Long.2 He married, firstly, Barbara Jane Dawson, daughter of Frank Lionel Dawson, on 12 December 1964.1 He and Barbara Jane Dawson were divorced in 1969.1 He married, secondly, Deborah Coburn Hall, daughter of Reverend Marcus Brown Hall, in 1969.1 He and Deborah Coburn Hall were divorced in 1972.1 He married, thirdly, Susan Elizabeth Littlejohn, daughter of Derrick Vernon Littlejohn, in 1977.1
     He was educated at King's School, Worcestershire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1
