     Rt. Hon. Arthur Frederick Jeffreys was born on 7 April 1848.2 He was the son of Arthur Jeffreys and Sarah Campbell.2 He married Amy Constantia Fenwick, daughter of George J. Fenwick, on 15 May 1877.2 He died on 14 February 1906 at age 57.2
     He was a practising barrister.2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1872 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North Hampshire between 1887 and 1906.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Deputy Chairman, House of Commons between 1902 and 1905.2 He lived at Burkham House, Alton, Hampshire, EnglandG.3 He held the office of Parliamentary Secretary, Local Government Board in 1905.2
