     Commander John Wyndham Cookson was the son of William Reginald Cookson.2 He married Mary Colquhoun, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Alan John Colquhoun of Luss, 6th Bt. and Justine Henrietta Kennedy, on 23 June 1922.1 He died on 29 September 1958.1
     Commander John Wyndham Cookson gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1

     Helen Margaret Colquhoun was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Alan John Colquhoun of Luss, 6th Bt. and Justine Henrietta Kennedy.2 She married Captain Michael Conder Harewell Smith-Carington, son of Richard Smith-Carington, on 16 August 1926.1 She died on 12 October 1955, without issue.1
     From 16 August 1926, her married name became Smith-Carington.
