Lt.-Col. Sir Alan John Colquhoun of Luss, 6th Bt. was born on 19 September 1838.1 He is the son of John Colquhoun and Frances Sarah Maitland.2 He married, firstly, Justine Henrietta Kennedy, daughter of John Kennedy of Underwood, on 17 April 1884.1 He married, secondly, Anna Helena MacRae, daughter of Duncan MacRae of Conchra, on 3 July 1906.1 He died on 14 March 1910 at age 71.1
Lt.-Col. Sir Alan John Colquhoun of Luss, 6th Bt. gained the rank of officer in the service of the 42nd Royal Highlanders (Black Watch) and 16th Lancers.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the service of the Duke of Edinburgh's Own RF Reserve Artillery.1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel and Honorary Colonel of the 3rd Brigade Scottish Division, Royal Artliiery.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dumbartonshire.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dunbartonshire.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [G.B., 1786] on 13 March 1907.1

Roderick William Colquhoun was born on 29 August 1847.1 He was the son of John Colquhoun and Frances Sarah Maitland.2 He married Alice Maitland, daughter of William Fuller Maitland, on 28 June 1882.1 He died on 15 November 1918 at age 71, without issue.1
