     Rev. Sir Edward Harry Dutton Colt, 8th Bt. was born on 3 October 1850.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Archer Colt, 7th Bt. and Frances Chadwick.2 He married Alice Strange, daughter of William Jefferys Strange, on 4 September 1889.1 He died on 23 June 1931 at age 80.1
     Rev. Sir Edward Harry Dutton Colt, 8th Bt. graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was the Rector between 1889 and 1897 at Monk Okehampton, Devon, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Colt, of St. James's, Westminster, Middlesex [E., 1694] on 26 February 1893.1
