     Helen Viola Egerton Cotton was born on 3 October 1917.1 She is the daughter of Gilbert Francis Egerton Cotton and Nora Williams.2 She married, firstly, Captain Sir John Hargreaves Pigott-Brown, 2nd Bt. on 6 April 1940.1 She married, secondly, Captain Charles Raymond Radclyffe, son of Raymond Augustus Edward Radclyffe, on 20 April 1948.1
     From 6 April 1940, her married name became Pigott-Brown. From 20 April 1948, her married name became Radclyffe.1
