     Sir Geoffrey Storrs Fry, 1st Bt. was born on 27 July 1888. He married Hon. Alethea Margaret Gwendolin Valentine Gardner, daughter of Herbert Colstoun Gardner, 1st and last Baron Burghclere of Walden and Lady Winifred Anne Henrietta Christiana Herbert, on 30 June 1915.1
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Fry, of Oare. He was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.).3 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).3

He married, secondly, Rose Lucinda Verney, daughter of Sir John Verney, 2nd Bt. and Jeanie Lucinda Musgrave, on 15 April 1978.1
