     John Baker Graves was born in 1796.2 He was the son of Reverend John Graves and Catherine Anne Baker.1 He married, firstly, Louisa Bellew, daughter of Robert Bellew and Sophia Fowke, on 21 July 1817 at Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, EnglandG.3 He married, secondly, Anne Howlin, daughter of James Howlin, in 1827.1
     He held the office of a Judge [Ceylon].1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Fort William, County Wexford, IrelandG.1
