     Lt.-Col. John Waller de Courcy O'Grady was born on 26 September 1854.¹ He was the son of Reverend Gerald de Courcy O'Grady and Charlotte Knox Adamson.¹ He married Katherine Frances Maunsell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Joseph Stopford Maunsell, on 3 June 1885.¹ He died on 2 November 1914 at age 60.¹
     Lt.-Col. John Waller de Courcy O'Grady was educated at Bishop's College School, Lennoxville, Quebec, Canada.¹ He was managing director of Northern Crown Bank between 1905 and 1914 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 90th Winnipeg Rifles in 1914.¹

     Katherine Frances Maunsell was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Joseph Stopford Maunsell.¹ She married Lt.-Col. John Waller de Courcy O'Grady, son of Reverend Gerald de Courcy O'Grady and Charlotte Knox Adamson, on 3 June 1885.¹ She died on 2 December 1947.¹
     From 3 June 1885, her married name became O'Grady.¹

     Lt.-Col. Gerald Francis de Courcy O'Grady was born on 10 August 1887.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Waller de Courcy O'Grady and Katherine Frances Maunsell.¹ He married Elsie May Patton, daughter of Frank Lawrence Patton, on 31 March 1917.¹ He died on 8 February 1970 at age 82.¹
     Lt.-Col. Gerald Francis de Courcy O'Grady was educated at Upper Canada College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹ He graduated from University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1909 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He was a practising Barrister-at-Law and Solicitor in 1913 at Manitoba, Canada.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded three times.¹ He was vice-president of the Winnipeg Board of Trade.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 90th Winnipeg Rifles.¹

     Elsie May Patton is the daughter of Frank Lawrence Patton.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Gerald Francis de Courcy O'Grady, son of Lt.-Col. John Waller de Courcy O'Grady and Katherine Frances Maunsell, on 31 March 1917.¹
     From 31 March 1917, her married name became O'Grady.¹ She lived in 1976 at Central Park Lodge, 440 Edmonton Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.¹
