     Lt.-Cdr. Hugh Hamon George William Carruthers Massy was born on 10 March 1851.1 He was the son of Hugh Hamon John Massy and Annie Margaret Evans.2 He married, firstly, Agnes Henrietta Hamilton, daughter of John James Edward Hamilton, on 27 July 1882.1 He married, secondly, Anne Emma Fetherstonhaugh Thompson, daughter of Colonel Robert Thomas Thompson and Grace Elizabeth Elinor Massy, on 10 November 1908.1 He died on 6 October 1916 at age 65.1
     Lt.-Cdr. Hugh Hamon George William Carruthers Massy gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was Commissioner of Income and Land Taxes.1

     Agnes Henrietta Hamilton was the daughter of John James Edward Hamilton.2 She married Lt.-Cdr. Hugh Hamon George William Carruthers Massy, son of Hugh Hamon John Massy and Annie Margaret Evans, on 27 July 1882.1 She died on 5 November 1907, without issue.1
     From 27 July 1882, her married name became Massy.
