     Major Michael Hely Hutchinson was born on 12 April 1916.1 He is the son of Lt.-Col. Coote Robert Hely Hutchinson and Julia Harriet Vere Browne-Clayton.1 He married Ruth Somerled Mackenzie, daughter of Kenneth Mackenzie, on 29 September 1951.1
     Major Michael Hely Hutchinson was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Norfolk Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1943, in Malaya, where he became a POW.1 He lived in 2003 at Croft Cottage, New Marton, St. Martin's, Oswestry, Shropshire, England.1
