     Sir John Seymour was born illegitimately.1 He was the son of Sir John Seymour.2 He married, firstly, Jane Poyntz, daughter of Sir Nicholas Poyntz and Joan Berkeley, in 1568.1 He died before August 1599.1 His will was probated on 4 August 1599.1
