     Anne Cuninghame was born on 13 October 1704 at Ayrshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir William Cuninghame, 9th of Caprington, 2nd Bt. and Janet Dick.1,3 She married Sir Robert Dalrymple, son of Hon. Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 1st Bt. and Marion Hamilton, circa 1720.1,2 She died on 23 January 1776 at age 71.4
     From circa 1720, her married name became Dalrymple.1

     Her married name became Dalrymple. After her marriage, Violet Evelyn Harford was styled as Countess of Stair on 4 November 1906. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wigtownshire.1
