     Newdigate Poyntz was baptised on 8 November 1608.1 He was the son of John Poyntz and Anne Sydenham.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Foxley, daughter of Francis Foxley.1 He married, secondly, Ann Forest, daughter of Miles Forest, before 30 January 1636.3 He married, thirdly, Mary Parkyns, daughter of Aden Parkyns, on 21 December 1637.3 He died on 4 August 1643 at age 34 at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, England, killed in action.3
     Newdigate Poyntz fought in the Battle of Gainsborough, for the King.3
