Sir Frederick Lucas Cook, 2nd Bt. was born on 21 November 1844.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Cook, 1st Bt. and Emily Martha Lucas.2 He married Mary Anne Elizabeth Cotton, daughter of Richard Payne Cotton, on 7 January 1868.1 He died on 21 May 1920 at age 75.1
Sir Frederick Lucas Cook, 2nd Bt. was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kennington between 1895 and 1906.1 He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.1 He was Head of Cook, Son and Company, warehousemen.1 He succeeded to the title of 2° Visconde de Monserrate, Cintra [Portugal] on 17 February 1901.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Cook, of Doughty House, Richmond, Surrey [U.K., 1886] on 17 February 1901.1
