     Sir Richard Ashmole Cooper, 2nd Bt. was born on 11 August 1874.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Powell Cooper, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Anne Ashmall.² He married Alice Elizabeth Priestland, daughter of Reverend Edward Priestland and Lucy Mary Gascoigne, on 18 April 1900.¹ He died on 5 March 1946 at age 71.¹
     Sir Richard Ashmole Cooper, 2nd Bt. gained the rank of officer in the service of the Staffordshire Imperial Yeomanry.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkhamsted.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Walsall between 1910 and 1922.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Cooper, of Shenstone Court, Shenstone, co. Staffs [U.K., 1905] on 30 July 1913.¹
