     Commander Dermot Chenevix Coote was born on 30 April 1915.1 He is the son of Charles Chenevix Coote and Alice Maud Crozier.2 He married Dorothy Oliver, daughter of Richard Oliver, on 3 March 1945.1
     Commander Dermot Chenevix Coote also went by the nick-name of Jerry.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1 He lived in 2003 at 21 Carlton Court, Wells, Somerset, England.1
