Gilbert Lyon Kennedy was born on 22 October 1875.1 He was the son of Gilbert George Kennedy and Alice Lyon.1 He married Mabelle Grace Low, daughter of James Fairweather Low, on 24 June 1903.1 He and Mabelle Grace Low were divorced before 1930.1 He married Noelle Evelyn Campbell Stewart, daughter of General Sir Richard Campbell Stewart and Mona Gough Haines, in 1930.1 He died on 11 November 1945 at age 70.1
