     Arthur Herbert Meysey-Thompson was born on 5 October 1852. He was the son of Sir Harry Stephen Meysey-Thompson, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Anne Croft. He married Horatia Dorothy Williamson, daughter of Sir Hedworth Williamson, 8th Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Liddell, on 1 June 1896. He died on 5 February 1950 at age 97.
