     Lt.-Col. George Eyre Evans Massy was born on 21 September 1833.1 He was the son of Eyre Massy and Mary Bruce.1 He married Abigail Mary Angelina Hunt, daughter of James Hunt and Anna Catherine Elizabeth Stopford, on 22 November 1877.1 He died on 25 December 1896 at age 63.1
     He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Colonel in the Royal Limerick County Militia.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 5th Fusiliers.1

     Abigail Mary Angelina Hunt is the daughter of James Hunt and Anna Catherine Elizabeth Stopford.2,3 She married Lt.-Col. George Eyre Evans Massy, son of Eyre Massy and Mary Bruce, on 22 November 1877.1
     From 22 November 1877, her married name became Massy.1
