     Sir Andrew Fielding Huxley was born on 22 November 1917 at Hampstead, London, England.2 He is the son of Leonard Huxley and Julia Arnold.2,1 He married Jocelyn Richenda Gammell Pease, daughter of Michael Stewart Pease and Hon. Helen Bowen Wedgwood, on 5 July 1947.1
     Sir Andrew Fielding Huxley was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.).1 He was decorated with the award of Nobel Prize (in Physiology or Medicine) in 1963, for his work on nerve impluses.2 He held the office of President of the Royal Society between 1980 and 1985.2 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.).2 He was decorated with the award of Order of Merit (O.M.).2
